The Need: Building a Seamless SMB Wi-Fi Experience
Optimum, a part of Altice USA, needed to deliver a high-value, plug-and-play Wi-Fi solution to its large base of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Each location required secure private Wi-Fi for employees, from coffee shops and medical offices to car dealerships, plus a branded guest portal. On top of that, Optimum wanted to introduce a marketing component so SMB owners could capture customer analytics and run promotions—without burdening local staff with complex technical tasks.
To achieve this, Optimum teamed up with reseller’s hosting and managed services—and, behind the scenes, leveraged WiBUZ’s API-first wibipOS platform as the digital “engine.” This solution is integrated directly with Optimum’s internal provisioning system (AMDOCS), ensuring each new customer site is automatically configured, fully branded, and ready to go when an Optimum technician leaves the premises.
